This organization is a common platform for all individuals from the Myagdi district of Nepal who are residing in New York City and its surrounding areas, including New Jersey and Long Island. The society was established with the aim of fostering mutual support during challenges we may face in this foreign land, as well as standing together in times of happiness and sorrow. Recognizing the necessity of community during critical moments, this society was founded to fulfill that essential role.

It is a purely social organization that represents all people from Myagdi, irrespective of caste, religion, color, political party, gender, profession, or social status. Legally registered as a non-profit organization in the state of New York in 2018, the society has obtained 501(c)(3) status. Although officially registered in 2018, the organization has been actively engaging in various social activities both in the U.S. and its home district of Myagdi since around 2013.

With the sole purpose of community service, the organization has been contributing to the development of Myagdi district and supporting those facing difficulties. By fostering unity and cooperation among its members, the society aims to strengthen interpersonal relationships and promote mutual assistance. Moreover, its members aspire to contribute not only to the development of Myagdi district but also to the overall progress of Nepal. Representing approximately 500 individuals from Myagdi, this is an active organization based in New York.
